The 6 Fantasy Football P’S (Free Agency).

2016 Free Agents

I see you sitting there coming off your Championship win in your Fantasy Football League. Above the clouds not a worry about what is going on in the NFL at this moment and not into much depth on the combine, free agency and trades.  I will let you in on a little secret my grandfather told me, “Andy if you want to become the man that people admire and the man you want to become, follow the six P’S” (Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance).

These upcoming months are where these P’s fall into place, these are the crucial months you must keep the most focus on.  March 9th is almost here the start date of the NFL Free Agency period at 4 P.M ET.  Your high horsed mind should be on what player would complete that team chemistry that one piece of the puzzle that fits with 54 other players that will take that player to heights he could never reach.  Example would be DeMarco Murray in 2014 with the Dallas Cowboys. Murray rushed for  392 attempts for 1,845 yards with 13 TD, then traded to the eagles for the 2015 season and only had 193 attempts 702 yards and 6 TD. Murray fit well on one team and fell short of a successful season on another.  Lets breakdown each NFL team and see what player would complete the team’s success in the upcoming 2016 NFL season.

ATLANTA FALCONS-  Dan Quinn is going to be leading the falcons into there best year if they come across Pass rusher OLB Bruce Irvin. Dan Quinn‘s 4-3 will fit perfectly with Bruce Irvin and having Vic Beasley will make a edge rush duo that we Dream about. Lets not forget to mention that Quinn was Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator. The chemistry and trust is already established.

ARIZONA CARDINALS-  Bruce Arians may not use the TE Postion in a way most teams do. Someone with great pass blocking and the ability to catch the ball off of the block will send the Cardinals back to the playoffs! Dwayne Allen would be a great player to sign.  If Allen can stay healthy? I can see him in the 2017 Pro bowl.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS- Their main focus should be on re-signing Doug Martin. Next should be a slot receiver.  The player in free agency that stands out the most to me is Travis Benjamin. Benjamin could be a franchise player that just got stuck on a team with turmoil and daily QB drama.  This takes away from the chemistry that all great WRS/QBS share.  With Jameis Winston‘s ablitly to play out of the pocket. Defenses drop defenders to account for the his mobility. Which leaves holes for Travis Benjamin out in the slot. Taking out Bobby Rainey as kick returner and plugging Travis Benjamin in. Should lead to more scoring drives do to the better field position.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS- Not much wiggle room on the salary cap after re-signing Mark Ingram. One name that comes to mind is James Laurinaitis. The linebacker from the Los Angeles Rams had a not so hot season last year. The New Orleans Saints could sign him at the right price. Which would provide depth for the Saints at the linebacker position and bring in a leader. James Laurinaitis could help mentor Stephone Anthony, the Saints 2015 First Round Draft PickLaurinaitis is a tackling machine and could run the coverage for the Saint’s Hybrid defense.

Until Free Agency starts on March 9th. I’ll be posting what player each NFL team should pick up and how that player will fit into there offense/defense. Check back tonight for the next 4 NFL Teams. The Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and the San Diego Chargers.
