NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire – 2017 Week 5
Making moves on the waiver wire can make or break your season. A good coach knows when to release and pick up players even if it is just for that week. All the injuries from the previous week showcased plenty of players with a high ceiling you can pick up.
Dalvin Cook just tore his ACL which leads us to Latavius Murray which will be in line for the bulk of the teams carries Monday at Chicago. Last year with Oakland Murray ended up with 267.30 fan points. Chicago run defense is allowing 85.5 yards per game. Latavius Murray is high end RB2 this week.
Let’s swing things towards the Jets and Cleveland game, where there is two players that are worth wavering this week.
Duke Johnson Jr.– Cleveland is always in a REBUILDING stage every year, it is like a never ending episode of the twilight zone. With Kenny Britt being a dud for the receiving corp for Cleveland and Coleman breaking his hand yet again, leaves Duke Johnson Jr. the best Wide receiver Cleveland has. It also helps that Isiah Cowell is yet again a bust which makes Duke Johnson Jrs value go way up in PPR leagues. New York Jets have allowed the 4th most points to Running Backs this season and do not forget about the garbage time yards he will get too in this game.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins– I believe that he is a up coming Tight End getting his last shot to be a star in the NFL. Jenkins was suspended his first two games. To me he is low value with a very high ceiling. Cleveland allowed 241 passing yards last game and their Tight End Tyler Kroft had two touchdowns. Coming in as the top scoring TE in DFS. If your Tight End is on Bye week and you need that sleeper to win Jenkins is your go to guy!
MAY THE FANTASY GODS BE WITH YOU!
