Not much going on in the AFC North and much of the same in the NFC North. Lets recap.
AFC North
Cleveland Browns – other than losing WR Travis Benjamin to the San Diego Chargers and not Resigning C Alex Mack. The Browns signed LB Tank Carder. Browns fans should look forward to the 2016 NFL Draft.
Pittsburgh Steelers – Resigned WR Darius-Heyward-Bey which is nothing to be happy about. Bringing back DB William Gay is a good move and bringing in TE Ladarius Green will help bolster an already potent offense.
Baltimore Ravens – Lost G Kelechi Osemele and signed DB Shareece Wright.
Cincinnati Bengals – Nothing to be smiling about for Bengal’s fans. Resigned DB/PR Adam Jones, DB George Iloka and LB Rey Vincent. Much of the same in this division. I disagree with these resignings. Learn to let go Marvin Lewis. No big splashes and by default the Bengals are the favorite to win another AFC North this season. I’m curious to see what Pittsburgh does during the draft. Dear Browns fans, I’m sorry.
NFC North
Chicago Bears – Signed LB Danny Trevathan and OL Bobbie Massie. Nice moves there. Also resigned CB Tracy Porter and RB Jacquizz Rodgers. John Fox and company should surprise the critics this upcoming 2016 NFL season.
Minnesota Vikings – Signed S Michael Griffin, G Alex Boone and LB Emmanuel Lamur. Resigned DL Kenrick Ellis amongst the few other non notable resignings. Winning are the Viks!
Detroit Lions – Megatron Retired so newly acquired WR Marvin Jones will see targets. Resigned DTs Haloti Ngata and Tyrunn Walker. Still. The Lions need Matthew Stafford and those rbs to play better if they want to compete.
Green Bay Packers – Absolutely nothing! Refusing to acknowledge an aging team. The Packers once again are dependent upon a healthy Jordy Nelson, Aaron Rodgers and their cohesive defense. Looks like the NFC North is the Minnesota Vikings to lose. I expect the Chicago Bears to be contending this year.
