NFL Playoffs Divisional Round – DraftKings Value Picks
Welcome to this weeks NFL Value picks for the divisional round. Before we get into this week, let’s take a look back at last week and see how we did.
QB: Eli Manning $6,100 – 15.06 pts
RB: DeAndre Washington $3,300 – 1.6 pts
WR: Anquan Boldin $4,000 – 4.4 pts
WR: Paul Richardson $3,400 – 13.8 pts
TE: Jared Cook $3,600 – 9.8 pts
Damn! Those are some pretty ugly point totals up there! D. Washington and A. Boldin were total busts at 1.6 and 4.4 points. They were dart throws and I thought they had a chance to produce, buuuuut they sucked.
Now to the good.
Eli turned out to be a decent call, 15 points for $6,100. P. Richardson really came through with 13.8 points and J. Cook did pretty well with 9.8 points.
All in all I’d say it wasn’t a bad week, 3 out of 5 players produced. Although, D. Washington really killed me as I had him stacked with Oakland DST (0 points) in quite a few lineups that wound up scoring around 150 points. If he and the OAK Defense showed up to play, my pay out would have been a lot higher.
On to this week.
QUARTERBACK
This week at quarterback it’s all about Dak Prescott. He’s $6,000 and I’m projecting him to score around 19 points. A. Rodgers, T. Brady and M. Ryan will probably score more points (20-23 is my estimate), but they are also priced much higher ($8,200, $7,600 and $7,000). You can get some serious savings this week by running Dak out there and that will open your lineups to the big dogs at other positions.
RUNNING BACK
The value play at running back this week is S. Ware $5,200. He’s the cheapest among all starting running backs and I really don’t see why. I would not play T. Rawls or L. Miller over Ware and both are priced considerably higher ($6,900 and $5,600). Give me Ware on 2 weeks rest and on a Kansas City team that loves to throw to the running back.
WIDE RECEIVER
Wide receiver is tough this week and I’m throwing darts! I’m going M. Floyd $3,800 who’s playing with the GOAT T. Brady. Floyd is a huge red zone target, let this be his breakout game in New England! I just can’t pass up the value at $3,800.
My second low priced value play at wide receiver is Terrance Williams $3,100, we are scraping the bottom of the barrel! I like Dak a ton for his value and I want someone to pair him with, that someone is T. Williams. He’s cheap, he gets about 5 targets a game and he’s playing against a woeful Green Bay secondary. In week 6 when Dallas played at Green Bay, Williams had 11.5 points, I’ll take that for $3,100.
TIGHT END
I am going back to J. Cook again this week. He’s getting looks in a high scoring Green Bay offense with 8 and 9 targets in the last two weeks. I expect that to continue this week.
Thanks for reading and good luck this week!
