It’s official, RGIII has finally landed an NFL job after being let go by Washington. His landing spot will be in Cleveland on a 2 year deal worth $15 Million, $6.75 Million is guaranteed.
Griffin said after the signing:
“I’m excited about the opportunity to join the Dawg Pound and help build something here in Cleveland, Coach Hue and Pep, I had a great meeting with them. I really believe in what they preach and how they can help not only me as a player but this team win games and that’s what we’re all about. I’m just excited to come in and compete. Nothing’s ever been given to me in my life, so I just want to go out and compete with the guys and grow with this team. I feel like that’s all I’m really focused on.”
New Head coach Hue Jackson is of course trying to make his mark with the Browns and Griffin could potentially help make that happen.
There’s no doubt of RGIII’s athletic ability, the question is his durability and his pocket presence. It’s going to be an exciting season for sure!
