NFC North Fantasy Football Combinations

“Questions surrounding  NFC North Fantasy Combinations.”

Moon Man here. August has reached the #20 days and its raining.Fantasy Football Combination weather brings us to the NFC North.Digesting a lot of film brings about multiple question marks surrounding it’s fantasy studs. Lets take a look at the best Fantasy Combinations in the NFC North.

Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery

A true second half performer the past two seasons. Owning Alshon Jeffery requires maintenance. A lot of maintenance! Focusing on his injury update alone is frustrating. Alshon has mutant abilities on the field and it translates to Fantasy Football production but there are better options in the combination world. Jay Cutler is being drafted in the late rounds or not at all. Alshon Jeffery is averaging the 2nd round of PPR drafts and combined with Cutler will produce only a handful of quality fantasy games in 2016. Fantasy Friends that overlook Jeffery’s health history, tough divisional matchups and average quarterback inJay Cutler are taking a risk. Moon Moon recommends drafting the #10 ranked Jeffery solo.

Jay Cutler and Kevin White

The other handful of good games will come from Kevin White andJeremy Langford. The Chicago Bears are not short of Fantasy weapons in 2016. Zach Miller at tight end and rookie running backJordan Howard with upside. Feel free to combine Jay Cutler andKevin White against teams that perform poorly against the #2 wide receiver. This combination should perform with Alshon and the run game drawing attention from opposing defenses. Draft Kevin White as your #4 WR with upside and pay attention to his progress for Daily FantasySports.

Detroit Lions

Matthew Stafford and Golden Tate

No Megatron in Detroit and Stafford is still slinging the rock. Lock Stafford in for 4,000+ yards once again. Also lock Golden Tate in for 90+ receptions once again. Moon Man has Tate ranked as the #15 WR inFantasy Football. Solid combination and attainable through the draft.Golden Tate is dropping past the 3rd round and you can get Stafford in rounds 10+.

Matthew Stafford and Marvin Jones

Free Agent acquisition Marvin Jones is as good as it gets for a #2 WR and is being drafted in rounds 7+. This combination is nothing more than a matchup based combo. Marvin will get targets as Matthew Staffordspreads the ball around Jim Bob Cooter’s offense. Marvin also proved how efficient he was in 2015 in a similar situation for the Cincinnati Bengals. Moon Man is sleeping on Marvin at the moment.

Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson

In 2014 Jordy Nelson had 98 receptions for 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns. That was then and come Monday Jordy Nelson will be on the practice field once again. This is good news for Nelson wh0 intends to be ready for the regular season opener versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jordy’s ADP is the second round and Aaron Rodgers is going in rounds 3+. The price tag for this combination is hefty but well worth it if they perform like 2014 (In 2014 Rodgers threw for 4,381 yard with 38 tds-5 ints).

Aaron Rodgers and Jared Cook

Moon Man thinks tight end Jared Cook will get 50+ receptions in 2016. It has been some time since the Packers had a viable tight end. Cook has underperformed and been inconsistent for the majority of hisFantasy Football career. That was with the unproductive Ram’s offense. Look for Jared Cook to get 80+ targets in 2016 and make the most of them. Cook can be scooped up in the late rounds of the draft. If you are taking the Cook route. Be sure to have another #2/#3 tight end for security.

Wild Card

Aaron Rodgers and Jared Abbrederis

These two have chemistry on the field. Regardless of Davante Adamsstarting the season as the Green Bay Packers third receiver. Jared Abbrederis will find himself playing by season’s end. Deep Sleeper in Fantasy Leagues and a potent Daily Fantasy Sports option.

Minnesota Vikings

Teddy Bridgewater and Stefon Diggs

Stefon Digg’s 84 targets in 2015 will increase in 2016. Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite target has built a repore with the 3rd year quarterback. This is a matchup based combination but make no mistakes about it. Stefon Diggs is the #1 target in Minnesota. Draft Diggs as a WR #3/#4

As Always,
