DraftKings Million Dollar Winner – Week 3
This week Million contest produced 2 winners, papagates and cmo_22wesley, congratulations to both.
Let’s take a look at their very different 247.2 point lineups.
QB Matthew Stafford papagates opted for the Stafford Jones Jr stack and it produced this week. Stafford at 2.4% is shocking, but what we are learning so far this season is that players are unwilling to pay up for a QB. Stafford was one of the priciest QB’s this weekend and was very low owned.
RB LeSean McCoy 29 points for McCoy was a surprise for most vs a stout ARZ defense. Looks like Rex Ryan had the boys ready to play because Buffalo came out fighting.
RB Shane Vereen NYG RB R. Jennings was a late scratch and that opened the door for Vereen who had a somewhat disappointing day considering his huge ceiling. I was high on Vereen after hearing of Jennings injury, but after watching him play, I can’t put too much into him. Vereen is very disappointing with his running and fumbling issues. He might even lose the job to Rainey if Jennings misses more time.
WR Antonio Brown Chalky play, but 29 points is good for his 9,600 tag.
WR Marvin Jones Jr. This guy has been a stud all season long and now in week 4, we are finally starting to see his price rise. Is it time for Golden Tate yet?
WR Terrelle Pryor Sr. Surprise here, but I guess who else did the Browns have to throw to? Barnidge was an option, but Pryor Sr stole the show.
TE Zach Miller Another surprise in Zach Miller and his 2 TD’s at 0.7% owned, I don’t think anyone believed in him. It’s risky play like this that vault you up the leader boards.
FLEX WR T.Y. Hilton T.Y. had a great game and was only 4.5% owned. I was back and forth on this pick all week. Who was Luck going to throw to with Moncrief out? Sure Hilton, but up and coming shut down corner Jason Verrett was sure to shadow the WR.
DST Seahawks Vs the struggling 49ers the Seahawks only put up 3 points, but it was just enough to tie for 1st place.
QB Aaron Rodgers How was Rodgers only 9%? This is madness, he was the best play of the week and he proved it.
RB DeMarco Murray Solid option here as Murray has been performing above his price all season so far. He’s just a target monster, especially in the red zone, and he runs the ball.
RB Charles Sims Doug Martin out, Charles Sims in. Sims had a solid performance at 24.4 points. Personally I wasn’t on the back because I thought LA had good defense and wouldn’t let up nearly 32 points.
WR Jarvis Landry 30.9% owned tells you everything you need to know and that is, everyone was on Landy this weekend vs Cleveland. He produced as expected.
WR Jordy Nelson A-Rod and Jordy stack and has been rocking all year and week 3 was no different. Jordy leads the league in red zone targets.
WR Allen Robinson Bortles, Robinson breakout game… where is it? This certainly wasn’t it with only 17 points for JAX, but Robinson sees a lot of targets and put up a nice 24.7 points. I’m still expecting a Bortles, Robbinson, Hurns blowout game.
TE Hunter Henry Antonio Gates was sidelined with injury and that opening the door for rookie TE Henry. 11 points is respectable although not spectacular.
FLEX WR Terrelle Pryor Sr. Definitely the play of the day and the ONLY shared player in both of these Million dollar lineups. I have to be honest, I was not even sniffing Pryor. Sure the Browns were without Coleman, but I can’t trust a no name QB.
DST Chiefs 35 points for KC and only 1% owned is a really, really nice play. great call here.
Congratulations again to both papagates and cmo_22wesley on their $1 Million Dollar Lineups!
