Record Deal for Andrew Luck!

Will the Colts contend in 2016?Will the Colts contend in 2016?

Andrew Luck inked a 6 year, $140 million dollar deal with the Indianapolis Colts. The 1st overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and air apparent to Peyton Manning has impressed. The Colts finished 8-8 in 2015. Missing the playoffs was a 1st in Luck’s NFL career. Let’s take a look.

  • 11-5 record (2nd in Division).
  • Lost in Playoffs (Wild Card Round).

  • 11-5 record (1st in Division).
  • 1-1 in Playoffs (Divisional Round).

  • 11-5 record (1st in Division).
  • 2-1 in Playoffs (AFC Championship).

Andrew Luck’s contract has $47 million fully guaranteed with $87 million guaranteed for injury. Fantasy Friends should be satisfied with this signing. Luck needs to be healthy and in good standing with the team to produce. There will not be contract negotiations and Andrew Luck is penciled in as a Top 10 Fantasy Quarterback. Moon Man does not see Luck leading the league in touchdown passes this season. Obviously Luck was hurting when posting a 15 TD-12 INT mark last season. The Colts probly won’t make the playoffs this season neither. Nonetheless, Andrew Luck will perform well in the Fantasy world and lost good numbers. Not Top 5 numbers as some Fantasy Friends are expecting. Moon Man remains bearish on Luck. Yet he remains in the Top 10? Today’s contract extension and Moon Man’s Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings are well deserved for this Fantasy Stud and future NFL HOF’er.
