2017 NFL MOCK DRAFT: Round 1

Its Saturday April 22nd and the 2017 NFL Draft is around the corner! This year’s draft doesn’t offer any viable #1 overall quarterback, running back, or offensive lineman. However there are multiple wide receivers who will get drafted earlier than anticipated. John Ross, Mike Williams and Corey Davis will bring immediate Fantasy impact. The defensive side of the ball presents immediate IDP impact too! Myles Garrett of Texas A & M is the favored player to go #1 overall and rightfully so. The guy is a mutant and will require opposing offenses to gameplan. The Cleveland Browns have 11 draft picks and moon man likes them to make a day one trade. The Browns will be able to draft a quarterback without moving out of the number one spot.

Round 1

1st Overall Pick (Cleveland Browns) – Myles Garrett (DE) Texas A & M. Day 1 starter and the New cornerstone of the franchise.

2nd (San Francisco 49ers) – Mike Williams (WR) Clemson. New head coach Kyle Shanahan will not pass on this generational mutant. Williams may not be the route runner Ross is and Davis a mutant in his own right. Maybe Kirk Cousins will find his way to San Francisco in 2018? Whether or not Cousins is a thought for Shanahan. Williams will come into his prime down the road but demand double teams his rookie year. Its a good mix of results now while potentially having a top #5 wr in 3 years. A receiver like Mike Williams may not be a fantasy stud in San Francisco but in real American Football he is! If the niners stink again which is likely. They could at least sell jerseys without disrespecting the American flag.

3rd (Chicago Bears) – Jamal Adams (S) LSU. Stud and will produce 90+ tackles since the bears will be behind all season. Solid IDP rookie here. Keanu Neal and Karl Joseph were good last year! Moon Man likes Adams in 2017!

4th (Jacksonville Jaguars) – Jonathan Allen (DL) Alabama. Defensive line needed in Jacksonville! The Jaguars defense came along the second half of last season. While the Jags could select a running back or offensive lineman here. Passing on Allen wont happen and Dexter Fowler gets some line support. Paul Posluszny, Telvin Smith and Myles Jack would like less double teams and guards coming down on them. Allen brings the Jags one step closer to an AFC South Division Title in 2017.

5th (Tennessee Titans) – Marshon Lattimore (DB) Ohio State. Day 1 starter as the Titans continue to compile 1st round talent.

6th (New York Jets) – Deshaun Watson (QB) Clemson. The Jets need a quartback and Watson will be the first off the board.

7th (Los Angeles Chargers) – Corey Davis (WR) Western Michigan. The Chargers need a playmaker with Keenan Allen’s injury history. Phillip Rivers still has a few productive years left. Moon Man will be drafting Davis in fantasy regardless of his team!

8th (Carolina Panthers) – Solomon Thomas (DE) Standford. Ron Rivera snags a beast and the Panthers make the playoffs again. LeonardFournette could go too. Either player is what the doctor ordered for the Panthers and make an immediate impact.

9th (Cincinnati Bengals) – Reuben Foster (LB) Alabama. AFC North teams love linebackers and Foster is top ten talent!

10th (Buffalo Bills) – John Ross (WR) Washington. The Bills land the fastest receiver and give Tyrod Taylor a target.

11th (New Orleans Saints) – O.J. Howard (TE) Alabama. Saints should go defense except Howard will be there and Drew Brees wants to play until he is 45 years old. The only tight end drafted in round 1 goes here. Immediate Daily Fantasy Sports impact! We all know Sean Payton needs to win now. Howard is a missmatch nightmare for opposing defenses

12th (Cleveland Browns) – Leonard Fournette (RB) LSU.

13th (Arizona Cardinals) – Malik Hooker (S) Ohio State.

14th (Philadelphia Eagles) – Gareon Conley (CB) Ohio State.

15th (Indianapolis Colts) – Derek Barnett (DE) Tennessee.

16th (Baltimore Ravens) – Takkarist McKinnley (DL/LB) UCLA.

17th (Washington Redskins) – Dalvin Cook (RB) Florida State.

18th (Tennessee Titans) – Trade With Cleveland Browns. (QB) Mitchell Trubisky (UNC).

19th (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Charles Harris (DE) Missouri.

20th (Denver Broncos) – Cam Robinson (OT) Alabama.

21st (Detroit Lions) – Haason Reddick (LB) Temple.

22nd (Miami Dolphins) – Ryan Ramczyk (OL) Wisconsin.

23rd (New York Giants) – Forrest Lamp (OL) Western Kentucky.

24th (Oakland Raiders) – Zach Cunningham (LB) Vanderbilt.

25th (Houston Texans) – Patrick Mahomes (QB) Texas Tech.

26th (Seattle Seahawks) – Taco Charlton (DE) Michigan.

27th (Kansas City Chiefs) – Tre’Davious White (DB) LSU.

28th (Dallas Cowboys) – Quincy Wilson (DB) Florida.

29th (Green Bay Packers) – T.J. Watt (DL/LB) Wisconsin.

30th (Pittsburgh Steelers) – Jabril Peppers (LB/DB) Michigan.

31st (Atlanta Falcons) – Marlon Humphrey (CB) Alabama.

32nd (New Orleans Saints) – Tim Williams (DE) Alabama.

The NFL Draft is Thursday April 27th through Saturday April 29th.

As Always,

(Teams Going Off + Thoughts Flexed In) = Combination Lineups

May the Fantasy Force Be With You.
